580 kg de drogue saisis à Fimela : Un trafiquant arrêté par la BR de Faidherbe
The national gendarmerie is continuing its operations to combat drug trafficking. Several actions carried out during the week have yielded significant results in the regions of Dakar and Fatick (Fimela).
During a security patrol, officers from the Dakar Criminal Investigation Brigade apprehended an individual exhibiting suspicious behavior. After a search and identity check, the officers discovered a bag containing sixteen packets of hashish and four ecstasy tablets in his pockets. The man was taken into custody for drug trafficking and distribution.
Following this, the Fimela territorial brigade, acting on intelligence linked to a network active in the village of Pethie Makha, carried out an operation on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 00:48. This operation resulted in the seizure of nineteen packages of Indian hemp for a total weight of 580 kg, according to information gathered by Seneweb from Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye.
The couriers managed to escape after a long chase, but the investigations continue to find them.
