The General Directorate of Penitentiary Administration has carried out a minor reorganization affecting four penitentiary establishments in the country, according to Seneweb sources. These decisions are contained in a transfer notice dated January 14, 2026, signed by Inspector Aliou Ciss, Director General of Penitentiary Administration, under the authority of the Ministry of Justice.

In total, four controllers from the Penitentiary Administration have been appointed or redeployed to new functions, due to service requirements, according to the official document read by Seneweb.

Papa Modou Diouf appointed to the Special Pavilion

Previously serving in the Human Resources Department, Mr. Papa Modou Diouf, a 2nd class controller, 2nd grade, has been appointed Director of the Special Pavilion Detention and Correctional Facility. He replaces Mr. Demba Sarr, who has been assigned to other duties.

Sheikh Issa Ndiaye assigned to Gossas

Mr. Cheikh Issa Ndiaye, 3rd class controller, 2nd grade, until now Director of the Nioro Detention and Correction Center, is appointed Director of the Gossas MAC, replacing Mr. Ibrahima Kalilou Diallo, who has also been called to other duties.

Ibrahima Kalilou Diallo joins Ziguinchor

Former Director of the Gossas MAC, Mr. Ibrahima Kalilou Diallo, 3rd class controller, 1st grade, is appointed assistant officer at the Regional Directorate of Penitentiary Administration of Ziguinchor, where he will occupy a vacant position.

Demba Sarr returns to Nioro

For his part, Mr. Demba Sarr, 3rd class controller, 1st grade, formerly Director of the MAC of the Special Pavilion, is appointed Director of the Nioro Detention and Correction House, replacing Cheikh Issa Ndiaye, transferred to Gossas.

According to the official document, this decision was made due to operational needs.
