Affaire Softcare : Ibrahima Hamidou Dème dénonce un “grand scandale de gouvernance”
The Softcare affair continues to provoke strong reactions in the public and political spheres. Ibrahima Hamidou Dème, president of the ETIC movement ( Together for Work, Integrity and Citizenship) , has spoken out to denounce what he considers a serious failure of institutions in the face of a health risk.
In a post, he strongly criticized the authorities' handling of the case, pointing to the responsibility of the State, Parliament, and the judiciary. "The Softcare affair is undoubtedly the biggest scandal of the Pastef government. Not because the health crisis has been confirmed, but because of the triple failure of the State, Parliament, and the judiciary to address a proven health risk that threatens the lives and health of the most vulnerable populations, namely women and children," declared Ibrahima Hamidou Dème.
According to him, the handling of this affair raises serious questions about the institutions' ability to protect the population from potential health risks. He believes the situation requires swift, transparent, and responsible responses from the relevant authorities.
