A Senegalese woman living in France, on vacation in Bambey, was taken into custody on Friday, January 16, 2026, after a heated altercation with police officers. KD, born in 1978 and a hotel receptionist in France, was arrested by officers from the Bambey police station's investigation unit.
During their patrol in their area, the police officers entered Chez Gérard bar and found a couple sitting at a table drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes. After identifying themselves and showing their badges, they asked the couple to show their identification.
The man presented a certificate of loss, apologizing and explaining the circumstances of his lost ID. The woman, visibly intoxicated and without her ID, began hurling insults at the police officers, saying, "I came from France. You can't just show up here and cause trouble when we haven't done anything."
The officers then asked her to get into the patrol car. She categorically refused, resisting arrest. The police then asked her husband to reason with her so she would get into the vehicle and be taken to the station. He tried, but to no avail.
After several unsuccessful attempts to reason with her, the officers forcibly took her into custody. It was during this time that she punched the officers, according to Seneweb sources.
Once at the station, KD, completely out of control even by her husband, began hurling insults at the officers before implying that she had been injured during her arrest and that she intended to file a complaint against them. Her husband refuted this claim, attempting to reason with her once again.
She was taken into custody for insulting a police officer in the performance of their duties and for public intoxication. The prosecutor's representative was notified of the situation and an investigation was opened.

Laisser cet dame tranquille.
