A tragedy has struck the town of Bargny since Wednesday, October 29, 2025. H. Diallo, a 23-year-old motorcycle taxi driver, died after falling from a terrace during a fight with a fellow Guinean, according to Seneweb sources. The dispute stemmed from a sum of 2,000 CFA francs won playing the game of Ludo. The incident occurred on Tuesday around 11:00 PM.

A game of Ludo that turns into a tragedy

H. Diallo and MF Diallo are playing ludo in front of their home in Bargny Kippa. The two Guinean compatriots, both motorcycle taxi drivers, share a room. Each bets 1,000 CFA francs on the game. MF Diallo wins and claims his winnings of 2,000 CFA francs. But H. Diallo refuses to pay, stating that his friend already owes him 5,000 CFA francs.

When H. Diallo refused, MF Diallo grabbed his compatriot's phone and went up to the terrace, where H. Diallo joined him to retrieve his device. There, the argument escalated into a fight. During the altercation, they both fell from the terrace. MF Diallo escaped unharmed, but H. Diallo was left lying on the ground, seriously injured in the elbow and right ankle, according to Seneweb sources. Neighbors rushed him to the emergency room at the Bargny health center. Tragically, the 23-year-old succumbed to his injuries during the transfer.

Yesterday, Wednesday, October 29, around 10 a.m., a man named MA Kanté voluntarily presented himself at the Bargny police station. He was carrying a request for an autopsy to determine the cause of death of H. Diallo.

The suspect, MF Diallo, born in 2004, was questioned by police officers at the Bargny station under the command of Lieutenant Babacar Ly. He explained the circumstances of the tragedy, as described above. He was then taken into custody for manslaughter and could be brought before a judge tomorrow, Friday.
