Barkédji : un maçon de 45 ans retrouvé pendu en pleine brousse
Suicide or staged murder? In Barkédji, in the department of Linguère, the lifeless body of a man of about 45 years old was discovered hanging in the bush on Friday, April 24, around 1 p.m.
The victim, identified as El Hadji Coundoul, was a married mason and father of five. L'Observateur, which reported the news, stated that villagers made the grim discovery in a wooded and isolated area about two kilometers from the village. Alerted, members of the Linguère territorial gendarmerie brigade, supported by firefighters and local health personnel, immediately went to the scene to carry out the necessary investigations.
The body was transferred to Maguette Lô Hospital in Linguère, then to Dakar for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. At this stage, investigators are not ruling out any hypothesis, including suicide or the involvement of a third party.
An investigation is underway and the first hearings of those close to the victim have already begun, with the aim of shedding light on this tragedy which plunges Barkédji into consternation, emphasizes the daily newspaper of the Future Media Group.
