Bignona : En prélude à la Ziarra annuelle de la communauté Aïnou Salam à Sindian, l’eau une hantise pour les fidèles
Muslim worshippers from the Ainu Salam community are preparing for the traditional Ziarra in tribute to their guide Sheikh Ousmane Sountou Badji, who passed away in 2017. This year, the event will be held for the first time on October 31.
According to sources close to the twin caliphs, who succeeded their father, Abdul Hassan and Abdul Hassein Badji, the heavy rains in July and the deterioration of the Sindian road are the reasons for this postponement. In addition, the issue of access to drinking water is worrying the population.
Indeed, in Sindian, for several days, the distribution of the precious liquid has become problematic, due to the breakdown of the borehole. The Ziarra organizing committee hopes for prompt intervention from the authorities to ensure good water coverage in Sindian, before, during and after the religious event, to the great delight of the population.
The Ziarra will be a new opportunity to address issues related to the practice of faith, the development of the department of Bignona and peace in Casamance.
