Bras de fer avec l'Etat : 48 heures de grève dans l’Administration et la Santé, le silence du gouvernement fustigé
The Joint Union of Administrative Workers and the Federation of Health Unions have decided to intensify their struggle in the face of the Government's continued silence. Following a meeting held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, with the participation of the various general secretaries, the unions announced a 48-hour general strike, renewable, beginning Thursday, December 18, 2025.
According to union officials, the purpose of this meeting was to assess the third phase of the action plan initiated by the inter-union group. They expressed satisfaction with the administration workers' adherence to the strike call and unanimously decided to continue the struggle.
Government silence denounced
In their statement, the unions strongly condemn the Government's attitude, which they accuse of showing "indifference" and "lack of consideration" towards trade union organizations.
"The silence of the authorities constitutes a profound lack of respect towards the workers and their representatives," they denounce.
Faced with this situation, the Inter-union of the administration and the Federation of Health Unions have decided to join forces in order to wage together the fight for the defense of the rights and dignity of workers.
A national march has been announced.
In addition to the general strike, a national march is planned for Thursday, December 18, 2025. The gathering is scheduled for 9:00 AM at Fann Hospital, with the march ending at the Ministry of Health. This mobilization aims to increase pressure on the authorities to obtain a concrete response to the unions' demands.
The payment of compensation is at the heart of the demands
The inter-union group of administration workers and the Federation of Health Unions are demanding, in particular, the payment of five months of housing allowance, a commitment which, according to them, the Government is slow to honor.
The unions warn that, faced with the continued silence of the State, they will pursue their fight "with determination, responsibility and commitment" until their demands are fully met.
A final call for dialogue
Before any further escalation, the trade union organizations once again urge the Government to respect its commitments, as recorded in the Social Stability Pact for inclusive and sustainable growth.
They reaffirm their commitment to social dialogue, while warning that the mobilization will continue until a satisfactory response is provided.
