A mother voluntarily went to the Jaxaay district police station to report extremely serious acts committed against her 7-year-old son. Taken into custody that same night, the suspect confessed to the crimes during questioning.

Around 10 p.m., Ms. A. Faye, residing in the Jaxaay gendarmerie housing complex, spontaneously went to the police station at the district police station, under the command of Commissioner Cheikh Ndiaye. She came to report that her 7-year-old son had told her he had been sexually assaulted by a shopkeeper in the neighborhood.

Without delay, the commissioner ordered a team of officers to be dispatched to apprehend the suspect. The police quickly located and brought to the station a male individual who identified himself as A. Diallo, 34 years old, a shopkeeper, residing in the same Jaxaay gendarmerie district.

The child's account: an assault committed in the back room

Interviewed by investigators, the 7-year-old boy gave a detailed account of the events. He explained that he had gone to the suspect's shop to buy chips, without having any money on him. Taking advantage of this, the shopkeeper allegedly invited him inside. Once out of sight, he asked him if he was circumcised. When the child answered yes, the suspect then asked him to show him his penis before laying him down on a mattress. He then took out his penis and rubbed it against the victim's navel until he ejaculated, according to Seneweb sources.

The suspect's confession and the incriminating evidence

When questioned about the charges against him, A. Diallo admitted to the acts before investigators. However, he attempted to minimize his responsibility by claiming to be "possessed".

The investigations carried out in the shop led to the discovery of a sheet stained with sperm, which was immediately seized and recorded as evidence for the purposes of the investigation.

Following the advice of Public Prosecutor Saliou Dicko, head of the prosecutor's office at the Pikine-Guédiawaye High Court, A. Diallo was taken into custody. He is being prosecuted for pedophilia, abduction of a minor, and rape.
