A gang specializing in cell phone theft was dismantled on October 30, 2025, by the Grand Yoff district police station. Following a series of complaints regarding cell phone thefts, the police commissioner deployed officers to apprehend the criminals. The investigation revealed that the stolen phones were most often found in the Patte d'Oie black market, known as "RÉSEAU".

While the police were pursuing the perpetrators, they received information on October 30, 2025, regarding a case of multiple cell phone theft that had occurred overnight in the Ben Tally Factory area. The victims stated that the thief had transported the stolen phones to the black market and was preparing to hand them over to the main fence.

Following this, police raided the premises and arrested three suspects. A body search of the suspects yielded seven mobile phones of various brands. When questioned about the origin of the phones, the suspects were unable to provide a clear explanation. Worse still, they could not provide the unlock codes. The suspects were then taken to the police station.

Then, a woman came forward to the investigators, claiming to own one of the iPhone 13 phones found on the thieves. This victim stated that someone had broken into her room at the Ben Tally factory during the night and stolen her phone and her younger brother's.

Charged with conspiracy, multiple thefts of mobile phones committed at night and receiving stolen goods, the accused were taken into custody.
