«Fais gaffe, je suis armé» : «Diop portable» tue par balle sa femme, ce qui s’est réellement passé dans la chambre
PM Diop, nicknamed "Diop Portable" in reference to his cell phone business, killed his wife with a gunshot to the temple in Keur Mbaye Fall. He told investigators that it was an accident, occurring while he was playing a joke on the victim, Binetou Guèye. In its Monday edition, L'Observateur provided a detailed account of the circumstances surrounding the tragedy, which occurred last Saturday shortly after 10 p.m.
At the end of the day, the newspaper rewinds, PM Diop receives a visit from a friend. He takes him to the terrace of the house where he raises sheep. It was, in fact, to protect his enclosure from burglars that he had acquired a firearm, the same source reports.
The two friends chatted for hours, enjoying tea that Binetou Guèye sent them from her room on the ground floor. When the visitor left, "Diop portable" joined his wife for dinner. "The atmosphere was relaxed and warm: the couple enjoyed their meal while exchanging witty banter," reported L'Observateur.
Suddenly, the newspaper continues, the husband gets up, takes out his weapon and says to his wife: "Watch out, I'm now a gunman. Otherwise…" The newspaper emphasizes that these remarks were made in a joking tone.
To her husband's words, Binetou Guèye reportedly replied, "Stop, we don't play with that..." Those were her last words. "According to the initial findings of the investigation," the same source reports, "the husband's index finger apparently pressed the trigger in an uncontrolled movement, but one sufficient to fire a shot. Inside the house, the detonation caused a shockwave. At first, everyone thought it was a gas cylinder explosion. It took several seconds to realize that the noise was coming from the couple's bedroom."
The other family members rushed over. They discovered the horror: "The husband was frozen, holding the still-smoking weapon, mouth agape, eyes wide open. On the ground lay his wife's body, her head almost shattered. Screams tore through the silence of the night as tears streamed down their faces."
The Observer reports that PM Diop attempted to turn the weapon on himself after the incident. However, he was subdued, disarmed, and detained until the gendarmes arrived. He was taken into custody.
According to Seneweb sources, the suspect "is provisionally being prosecuted on three charges: manslaughter, illegal possession of a firearm, and lack of proper documentation for the weapon." The victim's family, the newspaper of the Groupe Futurs Médias reveals, rejects the theory of an accident.

Avoir une arme chez soi peut te mettre dans une situation que tu vas regretter le restant de ta vie. Ce n'est pas donné à tout le monde le pouvoir de se maitriser en état de colère
