The general director of APIX SA, Bakary Séga Bathily, praised the assets of Senegal, "a land of stability and attractiveness in a world marked by uncertainty."

He also welcomed the reforms undertaken under the leadership of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. He cited the new Investment Code, the digitalization of procedures, enhanced investor protection, and easier access to land as among the concrete advances intended to "accelerate, secure, and bring projects to fruition."

For Bakary Séga Bathily, Fii Senegal 2025 is "not just another forum," but the embodiment of a sovereign and bold vision. "That of a Senegal that chooses innovation as its driving force, local transformation as its lever, social justice as its compass, and equitable cooperation as its cardinal principle," he says.

Five axes structure this ambition. According to him, these are to strengthen the country's economic competitiveness, finance connectivity infrastructure promoting better regional integration, accelerate the energy transition, promote youth, the diaspora and African innovation and promote a united Africa, standing up and acting in its own destiny.

Africa, an actor in its development

Echoing the forum's theme, "Connecting Opportunities, Building the Future," the APIX CEO emphasized Senegal's commitment to building bridges between talent, ideas, and markets. "Africa is now assuming its role as a major player in its development. With its youth, resources, and talent, it is the architect of its own destiny," he emphasized to applause.

As a reminder, for two days (October 7 and 8), the Abdou Diouf International Conference Center (CICAD) will host high-level panels, sectoral round tables (finance, agriculture, energy, digital, health, industry, sport, culture), as well as craft and culinary exhibitions promoting local know-how.

The forum also features a youth innovation competition, a networking golf tournament, and a dedicated space for signing partnership and investment agreements. "The time to invest is now. The place for transformation is here. The way to succeed is together," said Bakary Sega Bathily.
