Fleuve Sénégal : la baisse du niveau se poursuit à Podor
This Monday morning at 8 a.m., the level of the Senegal River, measured at the Elhadj Boubou Sall Quay gauge, stood at 5.56 meters, compared to 5.61 meters the previous day at the same time. This represents a drop of 5 centimeters in 24 hours, confirming the trend observed in recent days.
Despite this gradual decrease, the alert level set at 5 meters for Podor remains exceeded, and has been since September 14, 2025. This situation calls for constant vigilance from local authorities, riverside populations and emergency services.
Daily monitoring of the river level is essential to anticipate flood risks, adapt prevention measures, and ensure the safety of residents. Teams on the ground remain ready to provide information and respond as needed.
