Gaz, couteaux et téléphones volés : un gang dangereux neutralisé à Cambérène
Police from Unit 15 of Parcelles Assainies have put an end to the activities of a gang specializing in nighttime attacks on Cambérène beach and the Unit 15 footbridge. The criminals used incapacitating gas and bladed weapons to rob their victims, reports Libération.
The same source reports that after several complaints were filed in September, investigators managed to identify and arrest three members of the group: Mr. Diène, B. Niang, and Mr. Diagne. All admitted the facts during their interrogation.
The investigation also led to the arrest of B. Gaye, alias “Alla,” a fence already wearing an electronic tag, accused of having purchased several stolen phones from the gang. Caught up by the newspaper, he admitted to having carried out these transactions on numerous occasions.
The four individuals are being prosecuted for criminal association, robbery with violence, use of incapacitating gas and receiving stolen goods, according to Libération.
