INONDATIONS À THIOFFACK BAMBARA : LES SINISTRÉS INTERPELLENT LES AUTORITÉS
The people of Thioffack, a neighborhood in the commune of Kaolack, decided to make their voices heard. They organized a march wearing red armbands to demand the construction of drainage channels.
Cut off from the rest of the town, they are forced to cross in precarious conditions.
"More than a decade ago, the water stopped where we are. But today, it has spread everywhere. No alley, no house is spared by these floods. This is an opportunity for us to appeal to the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, and to the Minister of Sanitation, Cheikh Tidiane Dièye," declared Cheikh Ba, spokesperson for the people of Thioffack.
