Insécurité à Méouane (Tivaouane) : Des bandes d'agresseurs dictent leur loi au "louma" de Ndoukoura
It is a cry of distress that has been launched by the traders of the "louma" of Ndoukoura, a village in the commune of Méouane, in the department of Tivaouane, in the face of the insecurity which reigns in this weekly market which borders the national road n°2, an area characterized by intense road traffic.
They say they are facing a surge in thefts, heavy traffic on the RN2, and the presence of young people using drugs at night. This is jeopardizing the safety of shopkeepers and road users.
Mbaye Fall, one of the market managers, is requesting local and administrative authorities to install adequate public lighting at the market and to build a perimeter wall around the site to limit intrusions.
He and his peers would especially like a regular presence of the defense and security forces on "louma" Mondays to ensure the protection of people and their property.
