Three fishermen are missing after a pirogue capsized off the coast of Kafountine. The accident occurred this Thursday, according to Libération.
The same source points out that the boat, carrying six passengers, left Kafountine around 11 a.m. the same day. The bad news came less than two hours later, according to the newspaper's source:
"It was only around 12:30 p.m. that we were informed that the canoe had capsized after being overturned by strong winds and violent waves."
The latter, announcing survivors, confided that "three passengers were rescued." According to the latest news, he added, "despite the search, the rest of the group was still missing."
Libération points out that this accident follows a collision between two canoes at sea, which occurred a few days ago in the same locality, resulting in two deaths.
