Kaolack : Coup de filet anti-drogue, 4 dealers arrêtés par la police
As part of the fight against drugs, the Central Police Station of Kaolack under the command of Divisional Commissioner Souleymane Ba struck a major blow yesterday, Saturday, October 11. Two raids carried out in the districts of Léona and Kanda resulted in the seizure of five hundred and forty-five (545) grams of Indian hemp and the arrest of four suspected traffickers.
First arrest in Léona: 245 grams seized
The first articulation of the device took place between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the Léona district. The police officers of the Saloum Urban Security arrested C. Fall, a metal carpenter born on February 11, 1997 and residing in Ndargoundao, in possession of two hundred and forty-five (245) grams of Indian hemp according to Seneweb sources.
Three drug dealers unmasked in Kanda
The second phase of the investigation took place at 7 p.m. in the Kanda district, where three individuals were caught red-handed offering and selling Indian hemp. They are:
Y. Cissé, born in 2003, mechanic Jakarta, living in Léona
BN Thiam, born in 2006, plasterer, living in Médina Baye and
S. Pouye, born July 7, 2007.
During these operations, the police officers of the Research Brigade seized, in addition to the 545 grams of Indian hemp, the entire packaging arsenal used by the traffickers as well as a sum of eleven thousand (11,000) CFA francs, probably the product of their illicit trade.
The four suspects were taken into custody by police officers from the Kaolack Central Police Station. The Public Prosecutor's Office has been informed of these arrests and a thorough investigation is underway.
