Kaolack : La section de recherches et de l'escadron de surveillance et d’intervention inaugurée
The Minister of the Armed Forces, General Birame Diop, inaugurated the research section and the surveillance and intervention squadron of the Central Legion of the National Gendarmerie, this Friday, October 17, 2025. This event marks a major step in the strategy of proximity and operational efficiency of the country's defense and security forces.
General Birame Diop emphasized the importance of these new structures in the fight against cross-border crime, drug trafficking, urban delinquency, and threats of all kinds. "These units will strengthen security coverage and ensure rapid response in the event of an incident, while improving investigative and intelligence capacity in the Kaolack region."
