Kédougou: 3 Guinéens arrêtés par la BRS pour trafic de drogue
The Kédougou Regional Narcotics Brigade, part of the Central Office for the Suppression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS), carried out a major operation which resulted in the arrest of three Guinean nationals red-handed for drug trafficking, according to Seneweb sources.
The facts
The arrest took place last Thursday around 5 p.m. in the town of Bantaco, a border area known for being a cross-border trafficking point. The police conducted a thorough search that resulted in the seizure of a large arsenal of narcotics and trafficking paraphernalia.
The seized loot
The search revealed the presence of:
- 66 Indian hemp cones (cannabis)
- 17 tablets of Tramadol, an opioid diverted from its medical use
- 3 gaskets already made
- A batch of plastic bags probably used for packaging
- A pair of scissors for cutting
- 4 cell phones
- A motorcycle probably used for transport
- 20,000 CFA francs in cash
The suspects
The three individuals arrested were identified as follows:
ABBA , 28, who describes himself as a driver by profession, appears to be the main organizer of the local network.
MSDIALLO, 20 years old, declaring that he works as a welder, the youngest in the group.
MABA , 21 years old, claims to be a gold prospector, probably taking advantage of his activities in the gold mining sites of the region to develop this parallel traffic.
