Le Port Autonome de Dakar annonce sa transformation lors de la Grande Rentrée Portuaire 2026
The Senegalese maritime sector is poised for a pivotal moment on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the Grand Théâtre in Dakar. On this occasion, the Autonomous Port of Dakar (PAD) is organizing its "Port Opening," a major institutional event focused on innovation and modernization. This initiative comes amidst profound changes in the port sector, notably marked by the recent adoption of the National Port Strategy.
At the heart of this day, the general management will proceed with the official launch of the PAD's Strategic Repositioning Plan, named PREPAD 2025-2029. This new guiding framework aims to present the institution's structuring projects for the next four years, while concretely engaging its teams through the signing of performance contracts with the various sector directors.
Beyond the technical and strategic aspects, this major Port Opening event aims to be a forum for enhanced dialogue between the port and its partners. The event is therefore intended to bring together a wide range of stakeholders, from government authorities to national and international investors, as well as clients, users, and port staff themselves.
Through this Open Day, the Autonomous Port of Dakar intends to reaffirm its ambition to establish itself as a leading regional logistics hub. This strategic repositioning aims to serve the sustainable performance and economic development of Senegal and the West African sub-region.
