Lutte contre le vol d’électricité électrique à Sangalkam : Une vingtaine de branchements illégaux démantelés
On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the Sangalkam territorial brigade accompanied SENELEC inspection teams in a major operation to combat electricity fraud. The operation, carried out in the village of Ndiakhirate Extension, resulted in the seizure of around twenty illegal connections.
According to Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye, spokesperson for the National Gendarmerie, these fraudulent connections, made by connecting buried cables directly to the SENELEC network to supply certain homes, posed serious safety risks. The seized equipment has been neutralized. The owners of the homes in question, as well as several technicians suspected of participating in these illegal installations, have been summoned by SENELEC management, Seneweb has learned. Legal action may follow.
The National Gendarmerie has reiterated that such practices not only constitute a violation of the law, but also pose a direct threat to the lives of users. It urges the public to report any suspicious cases by calling the freephone numbers 123 or 800 00 20 20.

En construisant le bâtiment les voleurs avec l'aide de spécialistes font un dérivation à partir du câble principal.de cette dérivation ils installent un disjoncteur dans le mur
De ce disjoncteur ils font des câblages pour alimenter les appareils à grandes consommation
Lorsque le courant est installé après le disjoncteur principal le compteur ne voit rien.
