Mako : un adolescent perd la vie dans un accident de la circulation à Témassou
A serious traffic accident occurred yesterday, Friday, on National Road No. 7 near the village of Témassou, in the commune of Tomboronkoto. The tragedy claimed the life of a 16-year-old teenager and left one person seriously injured.
According to initial evidence, a community worker in his sixties was driving a vehicle when he collided head-on with a Jakarta-type motorcycle, driven by the young boy. The collision was fatal for the young boy, who died instantly. His passenger, seriously injured, was rushed to the Amath Dansokho Regional Hospital in Kédougou for treatment.
Alerted, members of the Mako local gendarmerie brigade went to the scene to conduct the usual investigations. While the exact causes of the accident have not yet been determined, some sources suggest a visibility problem as a likely factor in the collision.
The driver of the vehicle, meanwhile, was taken into custody at the Mako local gendarmerie brigade, pending further investigation.
