Ngor-Almadies : La population dénonce l’accaparement de leur plage et compte descendre dans la rue
Ababacar Mbengue, a resident of Ngor-Almadies, took to the streets in a video posted on Facebook to denounce what he considers to be the unfair appropriation of their beach by developer Loum Diagne. After rejecting their first march, he reports that the residents have finally decided to take to the streets on October 25 to make their voices heard.
According to him, this mobilization aims to preserve free and public access to the coastline, a natural heritage that he believes is threatened by private real estate projects. "Access to the coastline must remain free for local populations," he declared. At the same time, residents plan to contact the Prime Minister and the Minister of the Interior, and submit a document detailing the reasons for their opposition. In particular, they denounce a lack of transparency in the allocation of coastal areas and call on the authorities to intervene to enforce the right to public use of the coastline.
Determined to defend their beach, the people of Ngor-Almadies do not intend to give up in the face of the developer Loum Diagne.
