A violent family altercation turned tragic on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in Niarry Taly. A 34-year-old shopkeeper was seriously injured by her paternal uncle after attempting to defend her biological father.
YAK, a 34-year-old trader residing in Niarry Taly, filed a complaint on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the Grand-Dakar district police station against her paternal uncle, Idy K.
According to the complainant, on Wednesday afternoon, December 31, 2025, Mr. Idy K., who lives across the street from her, insulted her father.
Seeking to defend her father, she went to her uncle's house to ask him to leave her father alone.
In response to this intervention, Mr. Idy K. reacted violently. He brutally pushed his niece, causing her to fall. Seriously injured, the young woman was rushed by her relatives to the Sacré-Cœur Clinic for treatment.
The medical certificate issued by Dr. MS, Brigadier General (ret.), an orthopedic and trauma surgeon, revealed a fracture of the middle third of the right femur. A temporary incapacity for work (ITT) of ninety days, or three months, was prescribed for the victim, according to Seneweb sources.
An investigation has been opened by the Grand-Dakar district police station to shed light on this case of domestic violence that resulted in serious injuries.

Aussi une chute malencontrueuse n'a rien d'une altercation violente. Vous exagerez pour ne pas dire mentir, quand vous utilisez "fracassez la jambe".
