Opération de saupoudrage et de lutte anti-larvaire à Dakar : Les résidents invités à rester chez eux
The Dakar Departmental Hygiene Sub-Brigade has announced a major dusting and anti-larval operation that will take place from Thursday, September 11 to Monday, September 15, 2025, starting at 10 p.m., in several districts of the capital.
This campaign aims to reduce the proliferation of mosquitoes and protect the population against vector-borne diseases such as malaria, dengue fever and chikungunya.
Residents are encouraged to stay indoors during the operation to limit their exposure to the products used. Residents are also asked to cover and protect food, shelter pets, and ventilate homes thoroughly after the teams' visit.
The sub-brigade also recommends that residents clean food preparation surfaces after the operation and inform their neighbors so that everyone can take the necessary precautions.
According to the Dakar Departmental Hygiene Sub-Brigade, this operation is part of the efforts made by health authorities to preserve public health and improve living conditions in the Dakar region.
The operation, which covers all the municipalities in the department, will continue until September 15, 2025.
The hygiene sub-brigade calls on the population to cooperate and be vigilant in order to ensure the success of this essential initiative in the fight against vector-borne diseases.
