Parcelles-Assainies : Un tailleur arrêté avec 1,5 kg de yamba près d'une auberge
Acting on intelligence, police officers from the Golf-Sud police station's research brigade put an end to the activities of a drug dealer on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, around 9 p.m. Mr. Koné, a 24-year-old tailor, was arrested in the act of drug trafficking.
Alerted to intense cannabis trafficking near the "Lambaye" inn-bar in Unit 05 of the Parcelles Assainies district, Commissioner Mame Arona Ba's team organized a surveillance operation. The suspect was caught in possession of 1.5 kg of cannabis and 85 packets.
When questioned by investigators, Mr. Koné confessed to drug trafficking. He was waiting for his clients when he was arrested. The dealer was taken into custody after Prosecutor Saliou Dicko, head of the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office, took over the case.
