Parti du Sénégal avec un faux visa : Un candidat refoulé de Turquie, la trafiquante déférée par la DNLT

The National Division for Combating Human Trafficking (DNLT) has referred an alleged trafficker of fake visas to the Financial Judicial Pool (PJF). Awa Guèye is accused of defrauding several would-be migrants, one of whom was deported from Turkey after traveling on a fake Albanian visa.

Between July 9 and August 22, 2025, the DNLT received two separate complaints denouncing the actions of Awa Guèye. The first complainant, C. Seck, states that he handed over the sum of 2,000,000 CFA francs to Awa Guèye, who had agreed to take her brother-in-law, Mr. Sylla, to France. Subsequently, Awa Guèye informed him of the availability of the promised visa, but was unable to deliver it, claiming to have forgotten it at home.

After several unsuccessful attempts, C. Seck began to have doubts. Information gathered from his friends confirmed that the trafficker was issuing fake visas.

Candidate rejected from Turkey

The second plaintiff, Mr. Mané, paid 2,868,400 CFA francs to Mrs. Guèye. The latter had undertaken to obtain two entry visas to Albania for B. Bah and I. Konté. The first applicant, B. Bah, was able to board with an Albanian visa provided by the trafficker. However, his journey was cut short: he was blocked in Turkey for holding a false visa before being sent back to Dakar. This is how Mr. Mané understood that he had been defrauded.

Removed from her cell at the Liberté 6 Penal Camp where she is being held, Awa Guèye was taken to the DNLT headquarters for questioning, according to Seneweb sources. She admitted to receiving the funds from the plaintiffs, but specified that as a simple employee, she was carrying out the orders of her employer, a certain "Mr. Baldé," without providing further details.

Regarding the fake Albanian visa that allowed B. Bah to travel to Turkey, Awa Guèye said she was unaware of the fraudulent nature of the document she had given to Moustapha Mané, following the instructions of a certain NK Thiam. She also claims to have never been informed that B. Bah had managed to travel with this fake visa.

The search for Mr. Baldé and Ndèye K. Thiam, cited as the masterminds of this affair, is underway.

Following the investigation, Awa Guèye was brought before the public prosecutor of the Financial Judicial Pool on October 9, 2025, at 10 a.m., for fraud and trafficking in false administrative documents.
