POUT : Il agresse un "jakartaman" et se retrouve à la gendarmerie avec un kilo de chanvre indien

C. Sow is being prosecuted for assault and the sale or offering of marijuana. He is accused of assaulting Lamine, a motorcycle taxi driver, and stealing his motorcycle. These events took place in Pout.

According to the victim, C. Sow had hired him for a ride in Ndiakhirat. In the middle of the bush, C. Sow asked him to stop before threatening him with a knife and ordering him to get off the motorcycle, which he then took with him.

But the day after the attack, he crossed paths with C. Sow in Pout on his motorcycle. He intercepted him and they fought.

It was in these circumstances that the painter C. Ndiaye intervened to separate them. He impersonated a police officer to get C. Sow out of trouble. He then took them to the gendarmerie brigade in Pout. During a search, the gendarmes found 1 kg of marijuana in C. Sow's bag. When questioned about its origin, C. Ndiaye stated that it belonged to C. Sow, a claim the latter denied.

They are being prosecuted for theft, transfer or offering of Indian hemp and impersonating a public official.

In the dock of the Thiès court for flagrant offenses, C. Sow denied the accusations. He stated that he bought the motorcycle for 250,000 CFA francs, without being able to produce the corresponding documents. C. Ndiaye admitted to having presented himself as a police officer in order, he said, to dissuade the two individuals who were fighting. However, he denied owning the drugs.

The public prosecutor found C. Sow guilty of theft and the sale or distribution of cannabis and requested a three-year prison sentence. Regarding C. Ndiaye, he asked the judge to acquit him of the charge of selling or distribution of cannabis due to reasonable doubt, to find him guilty of impersonating a public official, and to sentence him to two months in prison.

Deliberated on January 2, 2026.
