Rufisque : traqué par la police, il saute d'une moto avec un kilo de chanvre indien
A scene worthy of an action movie unfolded on the evening of October 31, 2025, around 9:00 PM, at the Keur Ndiaye Lo roundabout, near exit 10 of the toll highway. As part of their efforts to ensure the safety of people and property, officers from the Rufisque-Est district police station, stationed at the checkpoint in the area, arrested an individual for offering and selling marijuana.
According to initial findings of the investigation, police officers noticed two individuals on a Jakarta motorcycle whose behavior appeared suspicious. Upon seeing the security measures, the driver, visibly panicked, suddenly accelerated to evade the checkpoint.
It was at this moment that the passenger, later identified as A. Fall, born in 1988 and residing in Kounoune, jumped off the motorcycle and threw away a plastic bag he was holding. Alerted, the police immediately retrieved the bag and arrested the man. A search of the scene revealed that the bag contained one kilogram of marijuana, according to Seneweb sources.
Meanwhile, the motorcyclist managed to escape, disappearing into the darkness. The apprehended suspect was taken to the Rufisque-Est police station for questioning.
During his hearing, A. Fall denied any involvement, claiming the drugs belonged to his accomplice who was on the run. Despite his denials, the prohibited substance was seized and handed over to the appropriate authorities.
The suspect was taken into custody for possession and trafficking of marijuana, and the public prosecutor's office was notified. An investigation is underway to find the second individual who fled.
