Rufisque : Un agent de la "SENELEC" se faisait passer pour un policier sur TikTok et Facebook
The urban security unit of the central police station in Rufisque has opened an investigation following a complaint filed on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, by police officer T. Ndiaye, serving in the 2nd company of the Mobile Intervention Group (GMI).
According to the police officer, an individual has been using his personal data since 2019 to create fake accounts on TikTok and Facebook, to impersonate him in order to scam citizens, according to Seneweb sources.
On Saturday, November 8th, a police officer was alerted via TikTok that a man named Babacar Guèye was using his photo and presenting himself as a police warrant officer at the Rufisque central police station. Investigators then examined the relevant pages and noted several phone numbers. This information led them to locate the suspect in the Tacko neighborhood. An operation conducted around 8:30 p.m. resulted in his arrest at his family home.
The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Boubacar Guèye, who presented himself as a SENELEC employee, readily admitted to the charges against him. He was taken into custody for questioning.

Ces pratiques de corruption et de concussion massive doivent cesser immédiatement et les sénégalais doivent dénoncer et porter plainte contre ces corrompus.
