They are Inoussa Zarbo from Burkina Faso, aged around thirty, a trader residing in Gamba-Gamba, and his compatriot Salifou Konaté, 39 years old, a merchant living in the same locality.
According to sources, Inoussa Zarbo is being prosecuted for the illegal sale of medication and practicing pharmacy without a license. He was found in possession of 144 Royal tablets. He is also implicated in drug trafficking and distribution, following the seizure of 12 packets of skunk.
The second suspect, Salifou Konaté, is being prosecuted for illegal sale of medicines and illegal practice of the profession of pharmacist, following the discovery of 39 tramadol tablets in his possession.
These arrests are part of the regular operations carried out by the Saraya gendarmerie to combat drug trafficking, the sale of illicit substances and the endangerment of public health, particularly in border and rural areas.
An investigation is underway to determine the origin of the seized products, to identify any accomplices and to determine the extent of this clandestine sales network.
