Tambacounda : Un ressortissant guinéen arrêté à Gouloumbou avec un faux extrait de naissance
Members of the regional branch of the National Directorate for the Fight Against Trafficking in Persons (DNLT), stationed in Gouloumbou, in the department of Tambacounda, carried out a raid by arresting a Guinean national from Conakry.
The individual, using the identity of Aliou Ba, born on October 12, 1995 in Béer, unemployed and residing in Bayakh, was arrested during a routine check while attempting to reach Guinea-Bissau. He was in possession of a dubious, laminated birth certificate bearing "no official stamp or visible signature of the civil registrar."
When questioned, the man initially stated that he was a Senegalese national, born in Béer, in the Kayar district. Continuing his story, he explained that he had tried to apply for a new birth certificate at the Thiès town hall, but was told that his registration number was not in the records. He was traveling to Guinea-Bissau, where his parents live, to find a solution to his problem.
However, he eventually admitted that his real name is Boubacar Diallo and that he is of Guinean nationality. He confessed to having left his Guinean documents behind to assume his new identity.
The requests sent to the Thiès town hall confirmed the non-existence of birth certificate number 4301 for the year 1995 in the name of Aliou Ba. It was specified that all birth registrations for that year ended at number 3742.
During a thorough search of his luggage, investigators discovered a photocopy of a Guinean consular card issued in his real name, Boubacar Diallo.
The Guinean national was taken into custody for the purposes of the investigation.
