Tantôt descendant de Cheikh Oumar Foutiyou Tall, tantôt fils d'un ancien ministre : Un charlatan escroc arrêté par la BR de Faidherbe
The Faidherbe investigation unit in Dakar has put an end to the activities of a charlatan who presented himself sometimes as the son of a former minister, sometimes as a descendant of the famous religious leader Cheikh Oumar Foutiyou Tall. He defrauded his victims of more than 61 million CFA francs. He was caught in a trap and arrested in Ouest-Foire.
SD is a vehicle salesman residing in the Matam region. He also resided in Mali under a false identity (A. Ly), allegedly born on December 15, 1987 in Bamako.
In Bamako, he met the lady TD. He presented himself as coming from a very wealthy family and the son of a former minister who served under the regime of President Abdoulaye Wade.
Based on these lies, he established a relationship of trust with her.
To extract money from her, he gradually convinced her to resort to mystical practices supposedly designed to boost her business. He then gave her the contact information for a supposedly powerful marabout named Makiyou Tall, whom he presented as a descendant of the revered Sheikh Oumar Foutiyou Tall. To bolster the credibility of his lie, he sent her a photograph of an elderly man dressed in a large boubou, seated in an armchair.
In reality, the "marabout's" contact information was SD's own. When he was away from his victim, he would call her and ask her to contact the supposed marabout. As soon as Ms. TD answered, he would change his voice to impersonate Serigne Makiyou Tall, a descendant of Cheikh Oumar Foutiyou Tall.
Under this false identity, he prescribed supposed mystical baths to his victim, making her believe that her business would prosper.
After submitting to these rituals, TD found herself under psychological control, satisfying all the financial demands of the fake marabout without opposition.
The expansion of the victim network
Back in Senegal, the woman told her friend AS what had happened, who then put her in touch with SD. The latter informed her brothers and sisters, who also fell into the scammer's trap.
In total, SD managed to extort 61,968,250 CFA francs from all of his victims.
Taking advantage of the control he exerted over his victims, SD allegedly had sexual relations with AS and TD on several occasions, thus adding sexual abuse to the fraud charges.
The Faidherbe police arrested the charlatan, who was brought before the prosecutor's office this Friday on charges of quackery, identity theft, and fraud against Ms. TD and Ms. AS.

Le Senegal ne se developpera pas. Rien que des fables. Le culte du travail et de l’honnêteté n’ont jamais été véritablement les valeurs sures en nous.
Fils de et Petit fils c’est ce leg que nous avons et expert en tagg yonent et recital coran.
Jamais des reference en science technologie des reference en terme ethique et morale.
Ce qui le font et le sont ce sont les pays scandinaves ou c’est gelé et avec des une population moins ancrée sur les adorations.
Senegal ou Afrique tu vois des gens qui eprouvent de la difficulté à avoir 3 bons repas par jour et qui vont à la mecque avec 6millions. Juste pour de la validation sociale.
