Thiès : cinq homosexuels arrêtés dans un appartement, l’un des prévenus révèle sa séropositivité
On December 21, the research brigade of the police station of the first district of Thiès arrested five individuals in an apartment in the Escale district, following a report of homosexual acts.
Those implicated, primarily from the fashion and image industries, are: O. Guèye (tailor and host), A. Thiam (stylist), N. Seck (photographer), D. Sarr (tailor), and PM Faye, a member of the Libération list. The newspaper specifies that, with the exception of the host, all were only passing through the railway capital.
The police operation led to the seizure of various incriminating items, including lubricants and pills discovered during the search. Under questioning, the suspects confessed, explaining that the gathering was in response to an invitation from O. Guèye to prepare for a fashion show at a well-known restaurant in the city, according to the same source.
The investigation also revealed a worrying health issue: one of the defendants, D. Sarr, declared himself HIV-positive. According to Libération, he admitted to never having informed his partners of his medical status before their arrest.
