Tivaouane : Les ventes illégales et occupations interdites sur les axes majeurs de la Cité
In an effort to secure public space and redevelop (reorganize) the urban environment of the religious city of Tivaouane, the departmental prefect has issued a decree prohibiting all illegal commercial activities or unauthorized occupations on certain strategic avenues in the commune.
The areas affected include Palla Mbaye Avenue, El Hadji Sy Avenue, National Road 2 (RN2) in its section crossing the city, as well as local railway lines.
The decree also formally prohibits the sale of animals outside of places designated for this purpose throughout the municipal territory.
Violators are subject to penalties provided for in the event of an offense, in accordance with current legislation. The implementation of this measure will be ensured by the mayor of the municipality and the security forces, who are responsible for its strict enforcement.
