Trafic de drogue à Kaolack : Trois dealers interpellés par la police avec 1,5 kg de chanvre indien
Acting on intelligence indicating drug trafficking in the area, police officers from the urban security division of the central police station in Kaolack conducted a raid on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, around 7 p.m., according to Seneweb sources.
The investigation led law enforcement to the home of Y. Ndiaye, a 59-year-old jeweler residing in Kasnack. Upon arriving at his residence, investigators found him in his bedroom, while two other individuals waited in the waiting room: A. Niang, 36, a motorcycle taxi driver residing at the Ndangane slaughterhouses, and N. Diouf, 50, a laborer residing in Gawane.
The three men underwent a security pat-down, which proved fruitful. A small bag of marijuana was found on A. Niang, while traces of the same substance were discovered on N. Diouf. But the most significant seizure was made in Y. Ndiaye's room: a loose bag weighing 500 grams of marijuana.
The three suspects were then taken to the police station and placed in custody for offering and supplying, possession for use, and complicity in offering and supplying cannabis. The drugs were seized and placed under seal.
The public prosecutor's office has been notified and an investigation has been opened to determine the extent of this drug trafficking network.
