Police officers from the Dakar Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS), under the Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS), dismantled a drug trafficking network on December 16 and 17, 2025. Four individuals of foreign nationality were arrested in the localities of Ngor, Ouakam and Medina, in possession of nearly one kilogram of "skunk", a hybrid variety of cannabis.

Three students and a shopkeeper caught in the net

The people arrested are the Nigerian student Abdoulnasser Ibra Seydou Sanda, residing in Ouakam, the Malian student Mouhamed Moussa Diallo, residing in Medina, the Beninese student Wafick Asther Mousse, based in Ouakam, and the Congolese trader Idrissa Sakho, residing in Ngor according to Seneweb sources.

These arrests follow the exploitation of information indicating the existence of an international drug trafficking network in these areas. According to the information gathered, the first suspect, particularly active in this trafficking, is believed to be in possession of a significant quantity of this illicit substance.

To catch him in the act, investigators placed a test order for 20 grams of skunk at 50,000 FCFA. The meeting was arranged in front of the pharmacy in Cité Avion, Ouakam, where a team of agents was deployed.

Abdoulnasser Ibra Seydou Sanda was arrested at the time of delivery, in possession of a bag containing 20.4 grams of skunk and a mobile phone.

Caught red-handed, the suspect agreed to cooperate by identifying his supplier, who was waiting for him at his home. A visit to the location led to the arrest of Mouhamed Moussa Diallo. A body search revealed four bags of skunk totaling 60 grams, electronic scales, a grinder, a cell phone, and a Jakarta brand motorcycle.

An operation triggered following intelligence

Continuing their investigation, the police went to the suspect's home in the Medina district. A search of his room led to the seizure of another grinder, 300,000 CFA francs, packaging bags, and four bags of drugs totaling approximately 95 grams.

Mouhamed Moussa Diallo, in turn, identified his supplier, Wafick Asther Mousse, based in Ouakam. Under the supervision of investigators, he placed an order for 50 grams for 125,000 CFA francs. The transaction took place in front of the Ouakam pharmacy, where Wafick Asther Mousse was apprehended with the ordered quantity and a mobile phone.

The search of his room led to the discovery and seizure of an additional 307 grams of skunk, an electronic scale and packaging bags.

Finally, Wafick Asther Mousse agreed to cooperate by placing an order for 50 grams with his own supplier. The latter, identified as Idrissa Sakho, was arrested during the transaction, in possession of 50 grams of skunk, a Jakarta motorcycle, and a mobile phone.

The four suspects were taken into custody for conspiracy, possession and international drug trafficking, according to Seneweb sources.

This operation demonstrates the determination of the police to combat drug trafficking and dismantle criminal networks operating on national territory.
