Tax inspector AB Ndiaye was the victim of a "thiely" robbery, a fraud technique that combines simulated accidents and theft. The incident occurred on the evening of August 25, 2025, in Guédiawaye, near the Malibu roundabout.
A well-orchestrated attack
At around 10:47 p.m., AB Ndiaye was meeting in the locality when an individual on a gray Beverly motorcycle deliberately hit his vehicle. Surprised, the officer got out to assess the damage. He then noticed two motorcyclists positioned on either side of his car. One of them, who had stopped in front of the driver's door, insistently accused him of being responsible for the accident, according to Seneweb sources. A brief discussion ensued, then the two men discreetly left the scene after what appeared to be a simple exchange of explanations.
A few minutes later, as he resumed his journey, AB Ndiaye noticed on his iPhone 17 Pro Max that his second device, an iPhone 13 Pro Max, had just disconnected. Suspecting theft, he stopped and searched his vehicle, without success. It was then that he realized that the two motorcyclists had stolen his phone during the confusion.
Using geolocation, he manages to locate the stolen device in a building in the Gadaye district. Continuing his personal investigation, the tax inspector learns that the building houses four couples, one of whom is hosting a cell phone seller at the Thiaroye market and his partner.
Armed with this information, the Urban Security of the Guédiawaye central police station entrusted the mission to its research brigade, which went to the scene to identify and arrest the suspect.
Upon arriving at the building, the police knocked on the indicated door. After several minutes, an individual opened the door and was immediately recognized by the complainant as one of the alleged perpetrators. The man identified himself as S. Ndiaye, born in 1987 in Pikine, a merchant residing in the Gadaye housing project. A thorough search of the premises failed to find any object related to the theft, but the suspect's behavior aroused suspicion; he refused to unlock his iPhone 13 Pro Max, claiming to have forgotten the unlock pattern, and also refused to provide his phone number, claiming not to remember it.
At the end of the operation, S. Ndiaye was taken into custody for criminal conspiracy and theft committed at night using a vehicle (Thiely mode). Once the investigation was completed, he was brought before the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office.

Come on guys...
