Afrobasket masculin – Performances des Lions : Boissy, Brancou Badio et Moustapha Diop mènent la révolte
Beaten on Matchday 2 by Egypt, Senegal were highly anticipated for this West African derby against Mali. Even without their injured center Gora Camara and trailing for a long time, Senegal managed to overturn their opponents.
A great performance that the Lions owe to three players: captain Omar Brancou Badio, Jean Jacques Boissy and Pape Moustapha Diop. The first two, on a great day, delivered a solid performance by scoring 17 points each, thus largely contributing to Senegal's victory over Mali (80-70).
But the most impressive performer in this match was undoubtedly Pape Moustapha Diop. The Lions forward recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Although all of Ngagne De Safana's men played a solid match, these three players were above the rest, allowing Senegal to take second place in Group D behind Egypt.
