AG élective de la Fédération sénégalaise de lutte : Le ministère des Sports réaffirme son soutien à la lutte sénégalaise
Through an official statement, the Ministry of Youth and Sports hailed the "success of the elective General Assembly of the Senegalese Wrestling Federation (FSL)" held on December 28.
Chaired by Minister Khady Diène Gaye, this meeting marks the end of the transitional regime of the National Management Committee (CNG) and the beginning of a permanent federal governance structure. The ministry emphasizes that this transition "now allows the sport to have a representative leadership chosen sovereignly by its own stakeholders."
This reform, which is part of the vision of the National Transformation Agenda Senegal 2050, aims to make sport, and wrestling in particular, "a true engine of economic development and national cohesion," the note reads.
The ministry also praised "the impeccable commitment of the electoral commission and the appeals commission", specifying that the minutes of the vote will be transmitted to the competent authorities within the required timeframe.
He reaffirms his "unwavering support for the wrestling family" and urges the new leaders to "get involved without delay to ensure the smooth continuation of the season."
