Substituted late in the game against Rayo Vallecano in La Liga (1-0), Lamine Yamal expressed his frustration with the decisions of FC Barcelona coach Hansi Flick, according to the Spanish press. This echoed Fermin Lopez's outburst a few minutes earlier when he kicked a cooler.

The international break comes at just the right time for Barça. While the Catalans are top of La Liga and still in contention in the Champions League, the narrow victory against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday (1-0) has reignited some frustrations among certain players regarding the choices of their coach Hansi Flick.

As they do every week, broadcasters Movistar+ and DAZN released new footage from the weekend's La Liga matches on Monday. Spanish television focused its cameras on the Barça players as they were substituted, revealing the visible frustration of Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez.

Kick the icebox

Substituted in the 82nd minute by Marcus Rashford, the Spanish prodigy clearly didn't enjoy leaving the pitch. He first made his feelings known implicitly to his coach by avoiding eye contact when they shook hands. Then, Lamine Yamal pointed his finger at the German coach four times before fuming at assistant coach Arnau Blanco: "It's always the same thing. It's crazy. It's madness."

As the Catalan staff member tries to calm him down, he adds: "It's me again, always me." Mundo Deportivo recalls that Lamine Yamal had already lost his temper after being substituted this season (against Levante).

Another angry Barcelona player, Fermin Lopez, kicked the bench cooler after being substituted in the 61st minute by Dani Olmo. Hansi Flick addressed this behavior in the post-match press conference. "We wanted to make a change, we really wanted to, and he has to accept it because Dani Olmo is also an excellent player," he explained matter-of-factly.

This week, both players joined the Spanish national team for the March international break, during which they will face Serbia and Egypt. Their return to their clubs will be crucial, as Barcelona have two matches against Atlético Madrid on their schedule (in La Liga on April 4th and in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on April 8th).
