Brésil : Neymar poursuivi en justice par son ancienne cuisinière
A new controversy has erupted surrounding Brazilian star Neymar. According to information revealed this Friday by the Brazilian media outlet Record TV, a former employee of the footballer has filed a complaint against him after several months of working at his Rio de Janeiro residence.
The plaintiff, who held the position of cook in the player's villa, claims to have worked for him between July 2025 and February 2026. She has decided to take legal action not only against the Brazilian striker, but also against the company that recruited her for this position.
In her complaint, the employee claims she was subjected to extremely demanding working conditions. Officially hired for hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., she explains that her days actually stretched much further, frequently ending around 11 p.m. or even midnight. She also states that she worked some weekends, even though her contract stipulated only weekdays.
The cook maintains that this heavy workload has taken a toll on her health. She mentions back pain and hip problems, which she attributes to the numerous physical tasks she performs, such as carrying pieces of meat weighing up to 10 kilos or particularly heavy kitchen utensils. She also states that she has had to prepare meals for more than 150 people at some events held at the residence.
Claiming she has suffered harm, the former employee is now seeking financial compensation. She is requesting coverage of her medical expenses, payment for overtime she says she was never paid, and temporary spousal support. According to available information, her monthly salary was approximately €654. In total, she is claiming nearly €43,000 in damages.
The case is now in the hands of the Brazilian justice system, which will have to determine responsibilities in this new case involving the Brazilian striker.
