Michael Olise's exceptional season was rewarded this Saturday. The French attacking midfielder for Bayern Munich was voted Bundesliga Player of the Year for the 2025-2026 season, capping off a remarkable year with the Bavarian club.

The party was in full swing at the Allianz Arena on the final day of the season. Having already secured the title several weeks prior, Bayern Munich finished their campaign in style with a resounding 5-1 victory against 1. FC Köln. Vincent Kompany's men then celebrated their triumph in front of their fans in a euphoric atmosphere, between the trophy presentation and the traditional beer shower.

On the pitch, Harry Kane shone once again, scoring a hat-trick and finishing the season with 36 goals in 31 Bundesliga appearances. But despite the English striker's impressive performances, it was Michael Olise who took home the ultimate individual accolade.

Having arrived in 2024 from Crystal Palace FC for €53 million, the French international has taken his game to another level this season. In 32 league matches, he has tallied 15 goals and 21 assists, while impressing with his creativity, technical quality, and influence on Bayern's attacking play.

Already voted rookie of the season last year after a successful first campaign, Olise is now confirming his status as an attacking leader for the Rekordmeister. At just 24 years old, the Nigerian-born player, who was developed in England, is establishing himself as one of the leading figures in European football.

And the season isn't over yet for the Frenchman. Michael Olise is now aiming for a domestic double, starting with the German Cup final against VfB Stuttgart on May 23, before joining the French national football team for the 2026 World Cup where he will face Senegal in the opening match of Group I. This match could definitively propel him to another level.
