CAN 2025 : Huit Lions au premier galop des Lions
The Lions' preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations began this Monday with their first training session held at the Abdoulaye Wade Stadium. Eight of the 28 players called up took part in this session, marking the start of the national team's training camp.
Édouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Idrissa Gana Gueye, Krépin Diatta, Boulaye Dia, Cheikh Tidiane Sabaly, Sadio Mané, and Habib Diallo took to the pitch in a relaxed atmosphere. This first contact was essential for the group after several weeks spent with their clubs, and a key step in building momentum for upcoming matches.
Iliman Ndiaye, for his part, was rested. The Everton striker remained at the hotel, under the supervision of the medical staff, as a precautionary measure.
The session focused on muscle activation and stretching, before moving on to ball retention workshops and coordination exercises.
The group should be expanded tomorrow with the arrival of the other players called up.
