2025 AFCON: The Cameroonian state grants an exceptional bonus to the Indomitable Lions

CAN 2025 : L’État camerounais accorde une prime exceptionnelle aux Lions Indomptables

Good news for the Indomitable Lions. After their 2-1 victory against South Africa in the round of 16 of the 2025 AFCON, the Cameroonian players will receive an exceptional bonus from the State.

The announcement was made this Monday by the Minister of Sports, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, via his Facebook page. Each player will receive 18,180,000 FCFA, or approximately 27,000 euros, as a reward for their qualification and performance.

This gesture, beyond encouragement, could also help to ease tensions between the Ministry of Sports and the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT), led by Samuel Eto'o.

The Lions' next challenge is the highly anticipated quarter-final against host country Morocco this Friday at 8pm.
