AFCON Morocco 2025: After defeating Botswana, Pape Thiaw is already thinking about DR Congo

CAN Maroc-2025 : Vainqueur du Botswana, Pape Thiaw songe déjà à la RDC

After their 3-0 victory over Botswana on Tuesday, Lions coach Pape Thiaw has already turned his attention to the next challenge against the Democratic Republic of Congo. This match is part of the second round of Group D in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

"We have already faced them; we have studied them and we will continue to do so in order to win our next match against them," he said at a press conference.

Senegal beat DR Congo in front of their home crowd during the 8th round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The two teams meet again on Saturday in Tangier for a qualifying spot in the round of 16 of the AFCON.
