Championnats du Sénégal : La LSFP dénonce les pratiques occultes et promet des sanctions
The Senegalese Professional Football League (LSFP) is taking a firmer stance against the resurgence of occult practices in professional leagues. In a statement released after the 26th and 27th matchdays of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, the LSFP strongly condemned these activities observed in certain sports venues.
According to her, several incidents related to the introduction and use of mystical practices have been observed in recent weeks, scenes widely shared on social media that tarnish the image of Senegalese football.
The body recalls that it has been waging a battle against these behaviors for several seasons, through the application of disciplinary sanctions provided for by the regulations in force.
For the LSFP, these actions are in total contradiction with the principles of professional sport.
"These behaviors are contrary to the values and requirements of professional sport. They have no basis in the practice of high-level football," the statement emphasizes.
The LSFP insists that sporting performance must be based on "preparation, discipline, sporting merit and loyalty in competition".
Faced with this situation, its Disciplinary Committee will be called upon to examine the various reports from the match commissioners as well as all available evidence to identify those responsible and pronounce possible sanctions.
The Senegalese League also invites clubs to play their full role in raising awareness among managers, technical staff and players so that no occult practices are tolerated in stadiums.
With this statement, the LSFP is demonstrating its commitment to preserving the credibility and image of the Senegalese championship, at a time when local football is seeking to enhance its attractiveness and professionalism.
