Choc contre le Sénégal : « Offrir un moment de joie à l’Est du pays », Sébastien Desabre (coach de la RDC)

On the eve of a crucial match in the competition, the coach of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sébastien Desabre, wanted to send a strong message to his supporters. Between respect and a sense of duty to remember, the French coach had a special thought for the people of eastern DRC, who face difficult living conditions.

In an interview with CongoTV, Sébastien Desabre first praised the exceptional passion surrounding the Leopards. For him, the massive presence of fans is a source of absolute high expectations. "We deeply respect our supporters for their commitment to following us. We saw it during the match against Benin: many traveled from Kinshasa. We owe them respect through our dedication, our resilience, and our fighting spirit on the field," he stated.

The coach did not overlook the social dimension of football, particularly for those deprived of stadiums due to security instability. He dedicated his team's efforts to the Congolese living in conflict zones. "Unfortunately, some cannot travel, especially in the very difficult areas in the East. We want to offer them a moment of joy and pride. The players are demonstrating great professionalism and giving their all to represent their country with dignity," he stated emotionally.

The DRC, a "resilient and difficult team to face"

Beyond the patriotic aspect, Sébastien Desabre pointed out that his team has forged a solid reputation on the continent. According to him, the Leopards now convey the image of a country that never gives up, a playing style based on impact and solidarity.

“Our players embody a very resilient Congo. In this competition, all teams know that playing against the DRC is never easy. We are fully committed to our matches, and that will be the case again tomorrow,” concluded the Leopards’ coach, promising a battle at every moment to honor the flag and its people.

Sadio ne doit pas démarrer. C'est un match de combat. Cette foi ci il n'y pas sa place. Il faut enlever un attaquant le remplacer pour renforcer le milieu de terrain
