Côte d’Ivoire - Corée du Sud (4-0) : La réaction de Yaya Touré
Ivory Coast gave South Korea a real footballing lesson on March 28th at the MK Stadium in Milton Keynes, England. The Elephants thrashed the Taeguk Warriors 4-0 in this friendly match during the FIFA international break. This attacking display was certainly pleasing to Yaya Touré.
"He is the African champion."
He felt his younger teammates dominated their opponents that evening. “We played South Korea. They’re a good team, very attacking. They have some very good, internationally renowned players. I think we put up a good fight today. 4-0, I think (they earned their respect). They’re the African champions,” said the former Man City midfielder, who made the trip to MK Stadium. He was generally pleased with the progress of the Ivorian team.
"There will be much more intensity."
The Elephants will have another opportunity to fine-tune their teamwork when they face Scotland at Liverpool's Hill Dickinson Stadium on Tuesday, March 31. Yaya Touré expects a different match than the one against South Korea.
"There will be much more intensity from the Scots, with an attacking fervor," announces the former Barça player.
According to him, this will be a good test, because Ivory Coast could face opponents of the same profile at the World Cup.
